celestre Fantastic instrumental jazz album.

Instruments are very well recorded. The sound quality and overall production are great.

I love how the album opens with a powerful double bass before the saxophones enter.

I think "Afro Blue" is my fav track, but "Sem Saída" is a very close second place. Also check the piano in "Camino de La Plata"! Favorite track: Afro Blue.

magibatalla Some of the tunes remind me of Joshua Redman's Elastic or maybe John Scofield's more stripped-down stuff ("A Go Go" and the like). At times, Quevedo's playing and writing makes me think of Seamus Blake - with a Brazilian twist, of course. The groovier tunes are well balanced with other more contemplative compositions, and the featured guests are a nice complement to the raw trio. Favorite track: Afro Blue.

about

With a raw stripped-down sound where groove and complicity between players scream for spotlight, the trio led by saxophonist Anderson Quevedo, alongside Daniel Amorin (acoustic bass) and Pedro Henning (drums), invites the listener to a real sonic adventure. The compositions, all of them by Quevedo's pen, seek inspiration in urban art and flirt with a wide variety of styles, from free jazz to concert music.
